Apple has disabled the Walkie-Talkie app on the Apple Watch, due to a flaw that permit customers listen in on different folks’s iPhones.

The Walkie-Talkie app let two individuals who had accepted an invite ship and obtain brief audio messages.

But Apple stated it had been “made aware” of a flaw that “could allow somebody to listen through another customer’s iPhone without consent”.

It has disabled the function and apologised for the inconvenience.

However, Apple stated it was not conscious of the Walkie-Talkie bug being exploited by anyone in the true world.

It stated “specific conditions and sequences of events” can be required to use the bug.

Apple discovered an identical “eavesdropping” flaw in its FaceTime video-calling app again in January.

In some instances, callers may activate the microphone on a goal iPhone even when the recipient didn’t reply their name.
