Some Malaysians cannot get it through their thick skulls that you cannot ‘chup’ parking spots and that doing so is considered a criminal offense.
This video we are about to share was recorded by Louis Kok is an incident where he confronted a visitor at UTC Sentul guilty of ‘chupping’ a parking spot for his brother to park.
Apparently triggered by the act of this selfish Malaysian, Louis Kok whipped out his phone and began recording, before the culprit too began recording his own video!
Imagine the cheek to feel that you are not wrong when you’re caught in the act of something that’s ACTUALLY ILLEGAL.
In the comments, Louis mentions that he did not take it any further in fear of being a bad example to his wife and little daughter in the car.
It is good to note that Malaysians commenting on the video were very dissatisfied with the selfish attitude displayed by the drivers who ‘chupped’ the spot.
We urge Malaysians to stop the action of ‘chupping’ parking spots because if caught guilty you can be charged under Section 50 (3) of the Road Transportation Act 1987, which carries a maximum fine of RM2,000 or jail time of a maximum of six months.
