Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 700 series earlier this year which aimed at its premium midrange smartphones.
While the Snapdragon 710 Soc is the first to be unveiled, the American chipset maker is set to once again refresh the SD 600 series.
An unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC is spotted on Geekbench. Although the listing doesn’t reveal much about the chipset, but it is fair enough to compete with SD 660 and other rival chipset.
Geekbench listing reveals that the SD 680 with the aid of 6GB of RAM escapes pretty well on both the single and multi-core test, polling a total of 1940 and 5153 points respectively.
The Snapdragon 680 that clocked at 2.15 GHz is short compared to 710 but find itself to be placed in between SD 660 and SD 710. However, there’s not much details on whether when and on what device the Snapdragon 680 will make its first appearance.
