XKCD Forum Hacked – Over 562,000 Users’ Account Details Leaked

XKCD—some of the well-liked webcomic platforms recognized for its geeky tech humor and different science-laden comedian strips on romance, sarcasm, math, and language—has suffered an information breach exposing knowledge of its discussion board customers.

The safety breach occurred two months in the past, in response to safety researcher Troy Hunt who alerted the corporate of the incident, with unknown hackers stealing round 562,000 usernames, e-mail and IP addresses, in addition to hashed passwords.

However, the leaked knowledge was truly found by safety researcher and knowledge analyst Adam Davies, who shared a duplicate of it with Hunt.

At the time of writing, XKCD has taken down its discussion board and posted a brief discover on its homepage, as shared beneath, urging its customers to vary their passwords instantly.
